About This Role
As a Graduate Front End Engineer at Amazon, you’ll use cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems while seeing the direct impact of your work on millions of customers, sellers, and products globally. Your key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with experienced Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products to market
- Designing and building innovative technologies in large distributed computing environments
- Creating solutions for predictions on distributed systems with exposure to cutting-edge technologies at massive scale
- Building distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective
- Designing and coding solutions for broadly defined problems
- Working in agile environments to deliver high-quality software that delights customers

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Graduated less than 24 months ago or completing Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Familiarity with programming language syntax such as Java, C/C++, or Python
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
- Passion for customer-obsessed innovation and building high-performance products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous technical internship experience
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Knowledge of optimization mathematics including linear programming and nonlinear optimization
- Strong ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively
- Comfort handling ambiguous problems and abstract thinking capabilities
