Location & Work Arrangement
This is a full-time on-site role based in San Francisco, California, within OpenAI’s Applied AI Engineering team. You’ll work with some of the brightest minds in AI and product development to bring next-generation AI capabilities to mobile users worldwide.
About This Role
As an Android Engineer for ChatGPT, you will play a critical role in scaling AI to every user’s pocket. You’ll be responsible for shipping innovative mobile features, improving architecture, and building performant, high-quality experiences that make AI more accessible and useful.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Developing and launching impactful new features in the ChatGPT Android app
- Improving core app infrastructure, architecture, and testing frameworks
- Collaborating with product, design, research, and data science teams to iterate quickly on impactful features
- Prioritizing reliability, performance, and responsiveness to ensure top-tier user satisfaction
- Driving innovation in mobile AI interactions by leveraging cutting-edge Android platform capabilities
