🔧 What You’ll Do
- Solve challenging business problems using data analytics for PayPal’s Risk team
- Drive end-to-end projects, from ideation to implementation, with measurable business impact
- Discover emerging fraud trends and design analytical solutions to mitigate risks
- Enhance automation in risk assessment, balancing efficiency with loss prevention
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Machine Learning, and Operations teams to scale automation
- Conduct case ratings to improve automation quality using account/transactional data and document intelligence tools
- Partner with stakeholders to design effective analysis and measurement frameworks
- Present insights in simple, actionable business language to leadership and product teams
- Continuously improve processes while contributing to the team’s KPIs and risk automation goals
📚 What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, or Engineering (Master’s a plus)
- 4+ years’ experience in data analytics, risk modeling, or fraud detection
- Proficiency in querying relational databases using SQL
- Experience in one or more statistical/programming languages: Python, R, SAS
- Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques: Regression, Classification, Forecasting, NLP
- Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop
- Strong business judgment with creativity in solving complex problems
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Industry knowledge in Payments, FinTech, or Banking is preferred
