Amazon is seeking Data Scientist Interns who are passionate about data, machine learning, and solving complex real-world problems. As a Data Scientist Intern, you’ll work at the forefront of innovation, applying analytical and statistical techniques to improve customer experience and business decision-making across Amazon’s operations in India.
This role is ideal for students with a background in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or Process Control who want to gain hands-on experience with Amazon’s data-driven culture.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Develop, automate, and run analytical models to improve business systems and operations
- Apply statistical analysis and data mining techniques to solve customer and business problems
- Drive model development, forecasting, and prediction initiatives
- Identify and define key business problems, apply analytical rigor, and deliver actionable recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to implement data solutions with high standards of accuracy and scalability

🎓 Basic Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
- Available for a full-time internship with no concurrent academic or employment obligations during the internship duration
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data science tools such as R, SAS, MATLAB, or SQL
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, or MXNet
- Knowledge of big data platforms including Apache Spark and Hadoop
- Hands-on experience with model selection, training, validation, and deployment at scale
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
