About This Role
As a Software Development Engineer II on the Prime Video team, you’ll deliver world-class digital media experiences to customers worldwide. You’ll design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable systems that redefine how digital content is consumed.

Your key responsibilities include:
- Designing and architecting scalable, reliable systems with minimal supervision
- Developing high-quality, maintainable, and robust code in Java, C++, or similar languages
- Implementing software best practices including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD
- Leveraging your understanding of OS fundamentals, performance, and scalability
- Applying appropriate data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to solve real-world challenges
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional (non-internship) software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture of new/existing systems
- Strong programming proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C++)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience across the full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to simplify complex problems and deliver scalable solutions
