About This Role
As a Software Engineer at Mercor, you will be at the forefront of building AI-driven hiring tools that automate resume reviews, interviews, and hiring decisions. You’ll work across key systems that power the AI interview experience, process millions in payouts, and scale Mercor’s recruiting engine to reach billions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and optimizing frontend and backend features using React, Next.js, Python, or Go
- Creating efficient database schemas for SQL and NoSQL systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the AI interview pipeline
- Managing and deploying scalable systems on GCP or AWS
- Delivering performant, reliable, and clean code in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, Python, or Go
- Proficiency in designing schemas for SQL/NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- Detail-oriented mindset and eagerness to grow
- Ability to work evening hours overlapping with PT timezone through at least 11am PT
