Job Description:
Join Cognizant as a Software Engineer and help develop innovative solutions in a hybrid work environment. Leverage your expertise in Linux, PL/SQL, and ITIL practices to create impactful software that supports business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications using Linux and PL/SQL.
- Design, implement, and test solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct debugging and performance tuning.
- Optimize and refactor existing applications for scalability and reliability.
- Document designs, processes, and procedures.
- Provide application support and issue resolution.
- Ensure secure coding and compliance with ITIL standards.
- Manage software version control and deployment pipelines.
- Stay current on industry tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Linux and PL/SQL.
- Experience with software development lifecycle, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with .Net, C#, scripting (e.g., Bash), and Windows environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Exposure to hybrid work culture and agile development methods.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in .Net frameworks and command-line tools.
- Experience in ITIL-based practices and version control systems.
- Ability to work in dynamic, distributed teams.
