🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Build, test, and maintain scalable backend services for Nike’s digital and retail platforms.
- Collaborate: Work closely with product managers & engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- API & Services: Develop and design RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, or equivalent.
- Database Management: Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to ensure robust, efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Testing: Implement unit testing, integration testing, and TDD practices to maintain high-quality standards.
- DevOps: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
- Agile Delivery: Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
📚 Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of backend development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar server-side languages.
- Strong foundation in SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control.
- Exposure to unit/integration testing frameworks.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
- Background in microservices architecture and scalable backend systems.
