🚀 About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you’ll work on Apstra’s backend infrastructure platform and cloud-based data pipelines. You’ll maintain core services while enabling cloud telemetry and analytics for next-gen networking workloads.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🔧 Core Infrastructure (60%)
- Own and enhance backend systems powering telemetry, analytics, and configuration pipelines.
- Develop and maintain a custom file-based telemetry database optimized for performance.
- Manage deployment orchestration, product packaging, and upgrades.
- Optimize hybrid Python + C++ execution paths, distributed queries, IPC, and system calls.
📊 Data Engineering (40%)
- Design ETL pipelines to sync telemetry data from on-prem Apstra to JCloud.
- Normalize and prepare datasets for analytics teams using internal tools.
- Develop cloud enablement features and usage signal logic.
✅ Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 4–6 years of software engineering experience in backend or data-intensive systems.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ (including C-extensions for performance).
- Hands-on experience in building distributed systems, telemetry tools, and APIs.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, cloud architectures, and infrastructure systems.
