Job Description:
The Futures Technology Engineering Team at Goldman Sachs is looking for a Software Engineering Associate with client onboarding expertise to join a high-impact team operating in a fast-paced front-office environment. This role is focused on enabling smooth client onboarding to the firm’s electronic trading platform while enhancing internal tooling and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end client onboarding, including requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and production go-live.
- Interact directly with external clients, vendors, internal engineering teams, and trading desks.
- Evaluate specifications, coordinate testing, and implement client-specific configurations.
- Enhance tools and applications to improve onboarding efficiency.
- Maintain strong partnerships with business and engineering stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in client onboarding for electronic trading systems.
- In-depth knowledge of FIX Protocol, including certification and testing.
- Strong communication skills with experience interacting with clients.
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and scripting.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, databases, and network protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls).
- Exposure to trading across Equities, Futures, Options, or FX asset classes.
- Familiarity with version control and release management systems.
